Indiana Film & Media Tax Credit:

Indiana is offering a new Film and Media Tax Credit for film, television, music or digital media productions. This tool will help build a robust, competitive and sustainable media industry and infrastructure while attracting new investment and tourism to the state. The Film and Media Tax Credit will provide an incentive to members of the creative economy to film or record qualified media productions in Indiana, encouraging student, amateur and professional crews to leverage the state’s urban, rural and natural assets. The incentive, established in the 2022 legislative session by Senate Enrolled Act 361, offers an income tax credit of up to 30 percent to help offset certain production expenses, such as acquisitions, filming and sound, labor, and story rights. Additionally, production crews and talent staying with accommodation stays of 30 consecutive days or more may be exempt from the County Innkeeper’s Tax, further incentivizing Indiana as a production destination. Eligible media producers are encouraged to apply online beginning Aug. 5, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2022. For more information, visit the Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s website.

Accommodation stays of thirty (30) consecutive days or more may also be exempt from the County Innkeeper’s Tax.

In-Person IFN Events Postponed – Online Events Coming Soon!

A message to our members about the Coronavirus.

As you may be aware a number of people in Indiana have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

In the interest of the health and safety of our members, IFN is suspending all meetings and events until further notice. Your health and safety is our first priority. This decision is not one we take lightly.

We are not alone in canceling events as have other organization around the state. We will continue to monitor the information we are receiving from the CDC, WHO, and other experts.

We ask you please take common sense preventative measures such as routine hand-washing, covering your mouth and nose if coughing or sneezing, and practicing social distancing.

Keep checking back to see when in-person events will resume, until then, please join us for special online events coming soon.

Thank you and stay safe fellow filmmakers!

Bylaws

Files are currently on their way to the new server. Up now should be (fingers crossed) the IFN Bylaws.

UPDATE: So there were some hiccups in moving over PDFs and other non-media files. A work around has been achieved…we think.

Under Construction

We have recently changed hosting providers and the site is undergoing a redesign and reorganization.

We thank you for your patience during this transition.

In 2020 IFN was to launch a number of cinematic arts initiatives and new IFN programs, as well as bring back the Indiana Film Database. These have been temporarily postponed, but will be rolled-out throughout the next few years, as well prepare for our 25th Anniversary in 2023-24. Thank you!
