Indiana Filmmakers Network

Mission Statement

The Indiana Filmmakers Network works to facilitate dialogue among film and video makers in the state of Indiana. We endeavor to foster a creative community that provides support, camaraderie and resources to those working to see their visions become reality. Our gatherings are open to all with Hoosier connections who wish to participate.

We envision the Network as a primary resource for film and video makers who work in Indiana, as a launching platform for creativity, and as a true network where all are considered equal, regardless of technical knowledge or commercial success.

The Indiana Filmmakers Network meets monthly at the Hamilton 16 IMAX Exit 10 off I-69. The meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Anyone interested in filmmaking is welcome.

The Indiana Filmmakers Network has seen amazing growth over the past 2 years. Attendance at our monthly meetings has been between 40-60 attendees. We believe that in the past year over 300 individual filmmakers, crew members, and/or actors have attended our meetings. Our membership has also grown tremendously. Memberships are $20 per year. New members receive an IFN t-shirt.

In an effort to reach out to our many new members, the current Indiana Filmmakers Network voluntary board members have decided to officially step down as of January 1st 2011. Elections for the new board will be held during our November 9th meeting at the Hamilton 16 IMAX. We are currently accepting names of members who would like to serve on the board. The voluntary board consists of 7 members. It is a completely voluntary position, with no pay. Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings as well as the regular monthly meetings. They share the duties of organizing the meetings and other events. The board members oversee the financial side of the organization and manage the group's online and public image. We are looking for anyone who feels they have the time and organizational skills to preform these tasks. Many of the existing board members have decided to be included on the ballot for the next incarnation of the board.

IFN members will be presented with a ballot containing a list of all of the candidates at the November meeting. They will be asked to select 7 names from this list to serve as board members. The 7 candidates with the most total votes will become the new board members, taking over January 1st 2011. Only current members in good standing, i.e. yearly dues have been paid, will be permitted to vote for board members.

Those interested in becoming a board member should submit their names and contact information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
